PCG uses a numeric grading scale to evaluate card condition.

Grade Label Description
10 Flawless Flawless A perfect card with gold label designation. Flawless across all grading criteria — centering, corners, edges, and surface. PCG's equivalent of a BGS Black Label. Extremely rare.
10 Gem Mint Virtually perfect card with no visible flaws. Excellent centering, sharp corners, clean edges, and pristine surface. The standard top grade.
9.5 Mint+ Near-perfect with only the most trivial imperfection. Outstanding condition that narrowly misses Gem Mint.
9 Mint Superb condition with one or two minor imperfections. Strong eye appeal and well-preserved card.
8.5 Near Mint-Mint+ Excellent card with very minor wear visible under close inspection.
8 Near Mint-Mint High-quality card with slight wear. Minor corner or edge imperfections.
7 Near Mint Slight wear visible. Minor corner rounding and light edge wear.
6 Excellent-Near Mint Light to moderate wear on corners and edges with minor surface issues.
5 Excellent Moderate wear across attributes. Noticeable handling and corner rounding.
1-4 Good to Very Good Significant to heavy wear. Cards show obvious handling, creasing, or damage.
